Dear John Daniel,
It has been six and a half year since your father Joshua Daniel has passed away and you were made the President of the Laymen’s Evangelical Fellowship (LEF). In his earlier years your father lived in India and although he later relocated to the USA, he visited India frequently and was constantly involved in evangelistic work around the world. Although you were given his responsibilities, you still hold on to a secular job in the USA and have been a trustee of the Salem Township, Michigan, USA. I am not sure how you fulfill your role as the president of LEF with other important commitments.
You know that LEF is patronized only in India and outside India the number of LEF centers are limited and the people who attend can usually be counted on your fingers. Leaders of organizations move to the country where it has biggest operations. But you have strangely stayed back in the USA. In the Lord’s Prayer, Jesus taught us to ask our Father in Heaven for daily bread. Unfortunately you are serving LEF bread cooked by your father and grandfather 10 to 60 years ago by way of videos and printed messages. Sometimes they get the same bread again and again! Is this not shameful? Why are you not in India giving the people fresh bread? Your parents owned a property in Coonor where you grew up as a boy. They later acquired another property in Kothagiri. You could have been living in the Nilgris, Tamil Nadu enjoying two beautiful properties. You would have got an army of helpers from LEF to be your drivers, cooks, maids, etc just as you and your parents enjoyed this when you were a boy. You would have then been able to give full attention to LEF and cooking fresh bread for them. Instead you are managing it remotely half way across the globe in your free time. It is very disappointing that you have remained in the USA holding on to your American citizenship.
As you know travelling around the world is no longer easy thanks to COVID-19. Additionally the current government of India dislikes foreign influence. So they are rewriting the rules. As a citizen of USA, you can no longer freely come to India and preach or lead LEF. Till now your status of Overseas Citizen of India allowed you to do this without much hassle. But on 4th March, 2021 the Government of India has changed the rules and you now need special permission to undertake “missionary activities”. Refer to https://egazette.nic.in/WriteReadData/2021/225647.pdf You can no longer freely come and address the crowds in Beulah Gardens or Stuartpuram. Please do not attempt to come surreptitiously like you did recently. A few years ago a police complaint was filed against you for threatening an Indian citizen both personally and from the pulpit. You escaped being arrested and deported by sending a lawyer to the police station. The climate in India is no longer the same and you will not be able to easily get away like that time.
The people of LEF adore the Daniel family. It will be a pity if they no longer have a guru from the Daniel family. So I hope you would take the appropriate action by giving up your American citizenship, relocating to India and taking care of the flock. If this is not appealing, please handover the responsibilities to Indian citizens. Please do not do Christian activities illegally and get hauled to the police station and get deported.

you cant take any action on this sucide note, because first time has passed, second the LEF will use money to buy the law enforcement machinery, third the people mentioned in the note will claim innocence, the only thing I want to say is this “If as a lamb if you serve a wolf, it will eat you one day (crying copious tears when it eats you too”). you may even heard that the 2 worthies were willing to give Rs. Half a million to silence the family of the people who died, whose money, o fcourse unaccounted offering money. Now the LEF is in grip of caste leaders, they allow the Daniel family to eat, provided that they are allowed to eat, )
Dear Suniemi….I would like to inform of certain teaching by Bro John Daniel now a days which is blindly adopted by Bible students and Evangelists….the teaching is on observing Sabbath…..Bro John statement goes like this….”you(Evangelists) should not permit any student of your congregation to write exams (like medically, engineering entrance exams and other competitive exams ) on a Sunday nor should you pray for their success in the exam because they are violating the Sabbath….!!! Please let the LEFI know what is true Sabbath from your words…….thanks
the LEF leaders want everybody to be poor and needy and live in poverty, so that they can strut before them saying “See How much God has blessed us because of our faith”, but the reality is that the family loots the offerings without any account. Dont bother a bit about them, the LEF is a cult and keep out of it, Dont give them any money or offerings. Rotten cunning wicked leaders. the Daniels used and continue to use the few good people in the LEF to eat like pigs

I belong to fellowship and I love it because I came to the Lord through it and I have learned prayer here. I greatly admire Late Mr.N.Daniel and Bro Joe. In general, my heart did not agree with you when you contradicted Bro Joe’s way of dealing even though you made sound logic. Till his death, I was an ardent follower of his teachings.
But after Bro John Daniel has taken the reins, things have slowly changed and accordingly my attitude also. Godless hypocrites are now have taken much control of this fellowship
I write this with great grief because of an incident took place on 03.08.2021. Bro Ratnakumar (late) who had been the evangelist at Kavali died of corona during april 2021. His wife Mrs. Padma, has now committed suicide allegedly leaving a note stating that, Bro Suvarna Rao, Evangelist at Nellore and his Son-in-law Suresh Marcus are responsible for her death. The tragedy is that many of us believers agree with that victim.
Bro Ratnakumar who in the past was a fake baba (swamiji) and later converted to christ after an encounter with him. After he obeyed god his eldest son who declared dead in the hospital was brought back to life. When God called him for his Service he left entire possessions which he acqired as a Swamiji (worth in crores of Rupees) and started serving the Lord at Kavali. Mrs Padma who was working as contract teaching staff with government of Andhra also left her Job to be in the service of the Lord. That was their sacrifice. The started almost from zero to build up a big congregation in Kavali fellowship.
Now after the death of her husband she reportedly accused Mr.Suvarna Rao and Suresh Marcus for mistreating her and even they tried to drive her away from Kavali. They have also posted their dummy candidate there as evangelist. She also had great health problems. The insults and declining health drove to the point of death and every thing ended with her suicide.
She even met Bro John Daniel, but he seems to have taken no notice of her plight.
Now my heart is burning at this injustice. What can I do now know at least to bring the culprits to justice? Can a suicide note be counted as an evidence for driving somebady to death? Something has to be done…..I need your response
It is very sad to hear of the suicide of Mrs. Padma. It is very disturbing that she has accused Suvarna Rao & Suresh Marcus of being responsible for her suicide. Please do not ignore this incident. Was a police case filed? Please contact a good lawyer and ensure that justice is rendered. Do not be like the normal LEF person who will say “brother, we will pray” and do nothing. Remember James 2:15,16.
Meeting John Daniel makes no difference. If you live halfway across the globe and try to run a huge organization, you need accomplices to help you do that. Suresh Marcus is one of his accomplices and it is not easy to accuse one of John’s accomplice to John. Even if John knows that his accomplice is wrong, he has to cover the accomplice’s misdeeds so that he continues to help John run the organization remotely.
In reality John Daniel has not really taken over the reins of LEF. He has conferred the reins on accomplices like Suresh Marcus, Gunalan, etc and has the control in name only. Power without accountability will corrupt even a saint. So it is not surprising that these accomplices are accused of evil and may stoop down to more evil. Most churches have some sort of voting system and the congregation has a say on who leads the church. Unfortunately Joshua Daniel mocked such systems saying that the only committee he would look up to is that of the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit, deceiving gullible people with his pseudo Christian talk. So you get dummy candidates on whom John Daniel living in the USA put a rubber stamp based on the recommendation of his accomplices in India. There was an incident where a person went back to his LEF centre after the retreat saying that John Daniel made him the center in-charge and tried to evict the existing senior evangelist. If John comes and lives in India, he will no longer be dependent on his accomplices and hopefully LEF will not self destruct.
This is why I wrote him the open letter urging him to come to India. But even if there are allegations that his accomplices are responsible for suicides or are involved in illegal sexual activities, it does not look like he is interested in coming over and fixing it. He prefers to remain in the US and be a trustee of the Salem Township in Michigan, attending their board meetings https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YJneaYIE3x0 Would John Daniel sit in a meeting in LEF and allow us to ask him questions about LEF, his accomplices, suicides, sexual misdeeds, financial issues, etc? Why can’t he setup a committee just like the Salem Township?
I hope this incident will make you understand why I have been warning about LEF for years. May your eyes as well as other people’s eyes be open!

It has been learnt that the only brother of Mrs Padma was reluctant to file a case with police against the persons in the suicide note because himself was a pastor of a church and said that ”God will take care of the culprits’. Reportedly he was in fear that a police case may have adverse effect on his small church (not LEF)
Therefore both the Uncle and his Son-in-law have resumed their daily routine i.e., Suvarna Rao is conducting daily evangelists’ group prayers and Suresh Marcus is taking bible classes at Beulah Gardens.

Once upon a time, the Daniels family ate all the money it can grab but now all have learned to steal and live life king-size without working. There is no central control, and all systems (if any) have broken down. It is all over. The LEF in India was the colony to send money to the Daniel family and it continues, without accounts or systems or plans but now all eat happily, as funnily no one counts the offerings so it has become an open grab bag for all. In those days Israel had no king; everyone did as they saw fit. Judges 21:25 (NIV), it is a nice description of anarchy. Unfortunately most people in LEF worship the Daniels. If not why would they be listening to their old messages again and again? So it is only the new rules for foreigners that could put a death knell to the American Daniel that the Indian LEF is worshiping. He should not clandestinely continue his visits to India by passing of as an Indian and that is the reason for this letter.
